2005 The American Association for Suicidology, Issue online: 6 January 2011. People who kill others rarely kill themselves afterwards. When they do, they are more likely to have killed someone with whom they were intimate. Two broad types of suicidal killers have been identified in research that presumes varying degrees of premeditation. Using data on over 700 intimate femicides, the role of premeditation in cases of intimate femicide-suicide compared to killings that do not culminate in a suicide was examined.

y de la Oficina de Violencia Doméstica requirió la colaboración de todas las jurisdicciones del país.

In its resolution 68/191, entitled “Taking action against gender-related killing of women and girls”, the General Assembly requested the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to continue conducting relevant research on gender-related killing of women and girls, and encouraged the Office to raise awareness among Member States regarding this matter.

Introducción -- Desde el año 2015, la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación asume la labor de elaborar un Registro Nacional de Femicidios de la Justicia Argentina. A tal efecto, la Vicepresidenta, Dra Elena Highton de Nolasco, en su calidad de Ministra a cargo de la Oficina de la Mujer y de la Oficina de Violencia Doméstica requirió la colaboración de todas las jurisdicciones del país. El concepto de femicidio permite visibilizar las muertes violentas de mujeres por razones de género y, de esta manera, alcanzar una comprensión más acabada del fenómeno y sus causas.
