Elina Kofou is a research associate at the Department of Nursing at the Cyprus University of Technology, involved in several projects examining gender-based violence and gender equality. She is a tutor at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. She is also a part-time research assistant for the European Observatory of Femicide (EOF) and member of the Cyprus team of the EOF. Currently, she is participating in the new EU-funded femicide project, FEM-UnitED. She also worked at MIGS that promotes women’s rights, and she was a board member at the Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family in Cyprus.
