Andrada Filip is the co-initator and key expert behind the Femicide Watch Platform and its reasoning since the beginning. She works for the UNODC and WAVE. Andrada did her BA in International Politics at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, and her MA in Political Science at the University of Vienna in Austria. She is also affiliated to a think-tank, the Human Security Centre, and to the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), mainly working with the Femicide Team of the Vienna Liaison Office. At UNODC, she has currently worked on the latest UNODC Global Study on Homicide that offers the latest facts and figures on the gender-related killing of women and girls. At WAVE, Andrada has been working on the 2015 edition of the magazine FEMPOWER, as well as the WAVE Report 2015 on specialized support services for women victims of violence and their children in Europe. She has also been organizing multi-disciplinary trainings for professionals working in the field of preventing and responding to DV, and protecting survivors.
