Diana E. H. Russell, Ph.D., a Professor Emerita of Sociology, is one of the foremost experts on sexual violence against women and girls in the world. For the last 40 years she has been deeply engaged in research and activism on this massive social problem. She has authored, co-authored, edited, and/or co-edited 17 books, mostly on sexual violence, which have become authoritative sources on rape (including wife rape), incestuous abuse, femicide, and pornography. Dr. Russell was co-recipient of the prestigious C.
