2018 Report on online violence by UN Special Rapporteur on VAW | UN OHCHR

In her report to the Human Rights Council, the UN Special Rapporteur on VAW, Dubravka Šimonović, analyses online violence and violence facilitated by information and communications technology (ICT) against women and girls from a human rights perspective. The report covers key definitions, manifestations, and recommendations for action on the national level (legal, data collection etc.).

A/HRC/38/47. In the report, it is estimated that "23 per cent of women have reported having experienced online abuse or harassment at least once in their life, and that one in 10 women has experienced some form of online violence since the age of 15."
