Risk Factors Distinct to Femicide-Suicide

1. Previous threats of suicide made by the perpetrator.

2. The victim being married to the perpetrator, either at the time of the femicide-suicide or in the past.

(Koziol-McLain et al., 2006, pg. 3)

The most important risk factor for intimate partner femicide-suicide is prior domestic violence against the victim.
