EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Femicides in Latin America and the Caribbean in recent years have increased. Countries in these regions have responded differently to violence against women. This report identifies the progress made in institutional approaches to tackling violence against women in Latin America and the Caribbean and will contribute to the knowledge base on implementation of national policies and plans and will be an important resource for many countries in the process of formulating, implementing and evaluating their own public policies and plans.
