FEMM is a standing committee of the European Parliament concerned with the financial inequality, namely the gender pay, pension and care gaps, the backlash of women's rights including LGBTIQ rights and the anti-gender movement, women's underrepresentation in decision making, violence against women and their sexual and reproductive health rights. The Committee advocates for the EU to prioritize gender equality and better legislation.
