Xian Warner is a gender specialist and feminist researcher on the prevention of violence against women, based in Timor-Leste.

With over 15 years of experience across Asia and the Pacific, Xian’s work focuses on conducting large population-based surveys on violence against women; providing technical support to improve policies and programs to prevent violence against women; promoting intersectional feminist approaches to research; helping communities find positive, sustainable, and context-specific approaches to gender equality and violence prevention; and supporting collaborative and safe spaces for local feminist movements.
