María Alejandra Otamendi is the Coordinator of the Reports and Registries Unit, Women’s Office of the National Supreme Court of Justice of Argentina, which produces the annual report of the National Registry of Femicides of the Argentine Justice (RNFJA). She specialises in the study of gender-based violence, armed violence, punitiveness, and social research methods. She has her doctorate in sociology from the University of Buenos Aires and EHESS of Paris. She holds a master’s degree in global governance and diplomacy from the University of Oxford. She is a researcher and teacher at the Gino Germani Research Institute, University of Buenos Aires. She is a member of the Gender Equality Network for Small Arms control (GENSAC).
