"The Glossary provides a detailed overview of the identified European, international and national definitions of rape, femicide and IPV and presents the definitions proposed for the three forms of violence with the aim of developing comparable definitions for statistical purposes. The increased harmonisation of data collection of the three forms of violence will eventually allow for a comparison of scope and trends between the Member States, something which is crucial for EU policy development in combating VAW."
