Executive Summary

This article speaks on the importance of recognizing Femicide as its own pandemic, which has yet to be declared. The author compares global death rates between coronavirus and Femicide and explains the importance of eradicating both. The article also brings attention to the increased risk and occurrence of domestic violence since stay-at-home orders and public closures were put into place around the world, and how various regions are responding to both. Since data collection and research has been more difficult to conduct during restrictions, it may still be early to uncover the full effects the pandemic has had on domestic violence and Femicide.
