Vitória Moreira is a Global Studies scholar and PhD student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her main research interests are human rights, gender violence, culture and ideology, reactionary backlash, and authoritarian populism in transnational and compared perspectives. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on women’s movements, gender-based violence, and contemporary populism.

Vitória holds a BA in international relations from the University of Brasilia (Brazil) and an MA in international relations from the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil), and her trajectory spans several countries, such as Chile, Norway, Sweden, and the United States.
