April M. Zeoli is a leading expert on the intersection of intimate partner violence and gun violence. Her interdisciplinary research – which aims to bring together the fields of public health, criminology, and criminal justice – is focused on the impact of state-level firearm laws on homicide, particularly intimate partner homicide, and the implementation of those policies at the local level. An associate professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University, April is on the editorial boards of the scholarly journals Injury Prevention and Criminology & Public Policy and serves as the research expert for the National Domestic Violence and Firearms Resource Center.
