Fabiola de Lachica Huerta is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Legal Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She employs the methods of discourse analysis and semi-structured, in-depth interviews to study how violent events get configured across time and the processes through which these events catalyse the emergence of particular political subjects in contexts of conflict. She received her PhD in sociology from the New School for Social Research, her MA in political sociology from the Instituto Mora of Mexico, and her BA in sociology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
